Meridian Sculpture was founded by Peter Morley, who trained in London during the 1960s in traditional lost-wax casting techniques. During this time, he was personally involved in the production of major works by Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, Elizabeth Frink, and Lynn Chadwick. After emigrating to Australia, Peter established Meridian in South Melbourne.

Over fifty years on, and with the support of a highly skilled team of artists and artisans, Meridian continues to set the benchmark for excellence in Australia’s art and design industry.

Now based in Fitzroy, our clients include many of the nation’s leading sculptors, among them Robert Klippel, George Baldessin, Arthur Boyd, Brett Whiteley, Peter Corlett, Lisa Roet, and Louise Paramor. Our projects range from large-scale, high-concept public commissions to smaller works by emerging local artists including memorials, architectural features, and 3D-print-to-cast sculptures.

Recognising the importance of our local arts community and the value that makers and artisans bring, Meridian actively supports a range of annual prizes, publications, and creative initiatives. We also open our doors to the public through our monthly sculpture workshops.
